When you use this training platform, we collect your name, email address and we create training records. Card payment information is sent directly to our secure payment providers and we don’t see that information. We collect your computer IP address to help us understand how customers use our site so we can improve it.
You’ve either given us the information directly through this platform or through email, or we’ve received it from your employer as part of a group being registered for training.
We use your information to provide you with training services. If you’re part of a larger group registered on this system then we’ll also use it to report group performance to a nominated person.
We will also use your contact information to send news articles and our promotional materials. You won’t be bombarded with emails and we don’t sell details to marketers.
We use the lawful basis of “legitimate interests”. Our use of your personal information is necessary to deliver our services to you and/or your employer. We don’t use any of your special category information.
Some of our service providers, such as our web hosting providers, bookkeepers and accountants can access your information. We have appropriate controls and contracts in place with each of these “third parties” to protect your information. We will not share your information with other people for any reason other than to deliver our training services to you, and provide you with news and information that’s relevant to data protection.
Privacy laws in other countries may not be as good as here in the European Economic Area. We carefully manage where we keep your information to keep it protected. We keep backups in the USA and our mailing system has servers there. Your information is protected under “standard contractual clauses” for our servers and our mailing service.
Your information belongs to you. As a data protection company, we believe that very strongly! You have lots of rights to ask to access, amend, delete and transfer information.
